Jac has been coaching club volleyball for the past 8 years, both as a head coach and assistant for ages U12 - U16.  He is also currently the JV coach in Mequon, which he's been doing the last 4 years. Jac has been playing volleyball for over 30 years and has won Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals over the last five years in the Wisconsin Senior Olympics!

Jac's one consistent coaching emphasis is  on teamwork.  "Volleyball is the ultimate team sport, no one player can determine a team's success. I also believe that the focus of winning at all costs can be detrimental to the  growth and development of the girls if they're not enjoying themselves.....I always tell the girls that one my goals as a coach is to get them to enjoy volleyball so that they play it as long as I have."

Coach Everts is a wife, mom of 5 kids (3 college athletes) and a former teacher. Everyone in the family plays volleyball, as well as other sports. Tana has her degree in PE and Health and has been coaching for 25+ years from 5- year-olds to adult club and all levels in between.

A few highlights of her coaching experience include:

  • Hartford High JV1 Head Coach (6 seasons)

  • Eclipse VC - volunteered and coached since it's inception. U12-U18

  • VB Coach and Director @ St. Kilian School for boys and girls programs (10 years)

  • CAP I Certified Coach

"I love coaching strategy and the nuances of the game. But the best part of coaching is getting to know the players and then seeing them as they grow up and knowing that I played a small part in that."
